Why these timers survive a refresh
Each timer stores the moment it should finish, not the number of seconds left. Lock your phone, switch app or reload the page and the countdown is still right, because it is calculated from the clock rather than counted down in the browser.
Running several at once
Name each timer for the dish rather than the time ("potatoes", not "35 minutes") so a beep tells you what to do. If two are due together, start the one you can walk away from first. For a whole meal, the meal synchroniser will work the times out for you and hand them to Cooking Mode.

How many timers can I have running at the same time?
As many as you need, each dish can have its own named timer, all counting down together in the same list.
What should I name my timers?
Anything that helps you tell them apart at a glance, such as the dish or the stage, "Roast potatoes", "Gravy", "Rest the beef".
If I accidentally close the page, will I lose my timers?
No, timers are saved in the browser as the time they are due to finish, so reopening the page brings them back correctly rather than starting again.
Will I hear an alert if the tab is closed when a timer finishes?
No, the alert sound plays while the page is open. If the tab has been closed, you'll see the timer marked as finished once you come back to the page rather than hearing anything while it's closed.
Can I adjust a timer without cancelling and restarting it?
Yes, pause and resume a running timer, or add a minute or five minutes to it, without losing its progress.
