Values come from the official UK food composition dataset published on GOV.UK, used unchanged. Figures are estimates based on that data and the ingredients and quantities you enter, and real values vary between products, brands and preparation methods. Read the full method.

Questions about comparing foods
How should I compare two foods fairly?
At the same weight, and in the same state. Comparing raw mince with a cooked burger, or dry pasta with boiled pasta, compares water content as much as anything else, which is why this page uses one weight for every column.
Does this tell me which food is healthier?
No, and deliberately so. It reports what is measured in each food and stops there. Which one suits a particular meal or person is not something a composition table can answer.
Why do some cells say no published figure?
Because no published value exists for that nutrient in that food. Showing a blank statement of fact is more useful than a zero, which would wrongly suggest the food contains none of it.
